Phyllium bioculatum

Gray's leaf insect (Phyllium bioculatum) is native to Malaysia but exists all over Southeast Asia.

Leaf insects are part of the taxonomic order Phasmatodea which includes stick insects. Insects in this order are also referred to as phasmids.

Gray’s leaf insects are usually 2-4 inches long and have multiple morphs, or body colors. Males and females can be orange, green, or yellow depending on where they live because their coloration is camouflage.

Like many insects, they are very short lived. Males live for up to a month, and females for up to 7 months.
